Privacy Policy

Effective August 23, 2026

Garden Pathology collects information about you and your garden. This policy dictates how we handle that data and explains when and why we collect it. Garden Pathology is operated by Grossed, Limited Liability Company (d/b/a Garden Pathology), based in St. Louis, Missouri.

Information Collected

Information is collected at two stages: at checkout, and upon submission of the intake form.

Photograph Metadata

Photographs captured on a mobile device frequently carry embedded metadata, including GPS coordinates identifying where the image was taken. Garden Pathology neither requests nor makes use of this metadata, and does not publish submitted photographs in any venue. Clients who prefer to withhold it may strip location data before uploading, a function most mobile devices provide, or may upload a cropped image or screenshot in place of the original file.

Use of Information

Submitted information is used for a single purpose: to diagnose the condition affecting the plant and to prepare management recommendations. Email addresses are additionally used to deliver the completed diagnosis, to reconcile payments against intake submissions, and to correspond regarding case questions or refunds. Garden Pathology does not use client information for advertising and does not distribute marketing email.

Disclosure to Third Parties

Garden Pathology does not sell client information and discloses it only to the service providers necessary to operate the service:

This site employs no analytics or tracking cookies of its own. The Stripe checkout page and the Static Forms widget are operated by those companies on their own infrastructure and may set cookies governed by the policies linked above.

Data Retention

Intake submissions and payment records are retained for the duration of active work on a case and thereafter for bookkeeping and tax purposes, generally for a period not exceeding seven years, consistent with standard small-business recordkeeping practice. Earlier deletion may be requested as described below.

Access, Correction, and Deletion

Clients may request, at any time, a summary of the information held about them, correction of that information, or its deletion. Deletion requests are honored except where retention is required for legal, tax, or dispute-related purposes, such as records of payment. Requests may be directed to Support@Garden-Pathology.com.

Residents of California hold the rights described above under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what information has been collected, the right to request deletion, and the right not to be subject to discriminatory treatment for exercising those rights. Garden Pathology does not sell personal information, and accordingly no opt-out mechanism is required.

Children's Privacy

Consultations are intended for adults managing their own gardens. Garden Pathology does not knowingly collect information from any individual under the age of thirteen (13).

Security

This site is served over HTTPS. Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI-compliant processor, and does not pass through or reside on Garden Pathology's systems. No method of transmission over the internet is entirely secure; Garden Pathology accordingly limits collection to the categories of information described above.

Amendment of Policy

Garden Pathology reserves the right to amend this policy from time to time. The effective date appearing at the head of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site following any revision constitutes acceptance of the amended policy.
