Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern access to garden-pathology.com and the purchase of plant diagnosis consultations offered through it. The service is operated by Grossed, Limited Liability Company, doing business as Garden Pathology (“Garden Pathology”), a limited liability company located in St. Louis, Missouri. Purchase of a consultation constitutes acceptance of these Terms in full.
Description of Service
Garden Pathology provides remote plant disease diagnosis and integrated pest management (IPM) consultation for small-scale, non-commercial food-crop gardeners. A consultation consists of a written diagnosis and management recommendations prepared on the basis of the photographs and case information submitted by the client. All consultations are informational and educational in nature and do not constitute a substitute for in-person inspection, laboratory analysis, or the services of a licensed pesticide applicator where such licensure is required by applicable law.
Age Restriction
Purchase of a consultation is limited to individuals eighteen (18) years of age or older.
Standard Booking Procedure
Consultations are booked on a payment-first basis. Payment is completed through Stripe checkout, after which the client is directed to an intake form for submission of case details and photographs. Intake submissions are matched to the corresponding payment by email address and, where available, by Stripe payment reference. A case is not considered open, and no work is commenced, until both payment and a completed intake submission have been received.
Price and payment
The current price is $25.00 per consultation, as displayed at checkout. Payment is processed by Stripe and may be tendered by card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. Garden Pathology does not receive or retain card details.
Refunds
If we cannot help, we send you a full refund. If your case requires a higher level of care than we can offer, or requires physical testing, we will tell you so and return your money.

Submission Quality
The client is responsible for the accuracy of all information submitted and for holding the necessary rights to any photographs uploaded. Clear, well-lit photographs of the affected plant, accompanied by an accurate description of symptoms and growing conditions, materially improve the likelihood of a conclusive diagnosis on first review. Submissions that are incomplete or of insufficient quality to permit assessment may be addressed under the refund policy above in lieu of a diagnosis.
Garden Pathology aims to deliver a diagnosis and management recommendations within two business days of receipt of a complete and usable submission.
No guaranteed outcome
Diagnosis conducted remotely from photographs and written description is subject to inherent limitations; certain conditions cannot be identified with certainty absent laboratory testing, soil analysis, or physical inspection. Garden Pathology will advise the client where such limitations apply. A consultation represents a professional assessment based solely on the materials submitted and is not a warranty that any recommended treatment will preserve a given plant or eliminate a given pest or pathogen.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total liability of Garden Pathology arising out of or relating to any consultation shall not exceed the amount paid by the client for that consultation. Garden Pathology shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including without limitation lost crops or lost time, arising from recommendations given in good faith on the basis of the information and photographs provided.
Site content
All text, design elements, and educational content appearing on garden-pathology.com are the property of Garden Pathology and may not be reproduced or republished without prior written permission. Diagnoses and recommendations furnished to a client are licensed to that client for use in the client's own garden.
Changes to these terms
Garden Pathology reserves the right to amend these Terms from time to time. The effective date appearing at the head of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site following any revision constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.
Governing law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute not resolved directly between the parties shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state or federal courts located in the State of Missouri.
